If you missed Searching For Sugar Man during the 2013 Ambulante festival, there’s no need to worry. On June 28, Canana and Ambulante will premiere the 2013 Oscar-winning documentary in theatres.

The Searching For Sugar Man documentary directed by Malik Bendjelloul was included in the 2013 Ambulante festival in the Sonidero section. The film tells the story of two South Africans whose aim is to find out what happened with their venerated musical hero, the mysterious rocker Sixto Rodriguez, poet of the marginalized slums of Detroit, and one of the never recognized most greatest icons of the seventies' American rock. You can't miss it!

Del 2 al 7 de julio se llevará a cabo la primera edición del Surf Open Acapulco en Playa Revolcadero de Guerrero. Este evento será presentado por Vans, el Gobierno del Estado de Guerrero, Sefotur y Neofreak.

Además de la competencia de surf, la cual espera la participación de 144 sufistas de 15 países, se presentará el show de motocross, habrá conciertos y se impartirán clases de surf.

From July 2 to 7 the first edition of Surf Open Acapulco will take place in Playa Revolcadero, Guerrero. This event is presented by Vans, the State Government of Guerrero, Sefotur and Neofreak.

Ambulante returns to Great Britain for the London MexFest 2013. From July 11-14, the London MexFest will present an exciting programme of contemporary Mexican cinema, architecture, exhibitions, music and gastronomy.

The film program in this second edition has been curated by Ambulante, Canana, and the Morelia International Film Festival, and will present the work of Pedro González-Rubio, Michel Franco, and Diego Luna, among others.

The cultural center Rich Mix, the British Film Institute (BFI) and the Royal Academy of the Arts are some of the venues that will host the screenings and events. London MexFest 2013 is presented thanks to collaboration with The British Council, Conaculta, Ambulante, Canana, The International Film Festival of Morelia, Arquine, & PrettyGreen and with the support of The Mexican Embassy of Great Britain,  The Embassy of Great Britain in Mexico  and the Mexican Tourism Board.

La vigésima edición del Foro Nordisk para cofinanciamiento de documentales se llevará a cabo del 22 al 24 de septiembre del 2013 en el marco del Festival Nordisk Panorama.

El foro Nordisk para cofinanciamiento de documentales es una reunión anual en la cual se involucran productores, editores comisionados para televisión, institutos de cine, fondos cinematográficos regionales y profesionales del ámbito cinematográfico. Este foro ha sido organizado por Filmkontakt Nord y Nordisk Forum desde 1994.

Actualmente la convocatoria para entrega de proyectos ya ha sido cerrada, sin embargo, el plazo para acreditarse se encuentra abierto hasta el 1 de agosto. La acreditación otorga el acceso a todas las proyecciones, seminarios y eventos especiales del festival.

The 20th edition of the Nordisk Forum for co-financing documentaries will take place September 22-24 as part of the Nordisk Panorama Festival.

The Nordisk Forum for co-financing documentaries is an annual reunion which involves producers, television editors, film institutes, and regional film granting organizations. This forum has been organized by Filmkontakt Nord and Nordisk Forum since 1994.

Heinrich Böll Stiftung México, Centroamérica y el Caribe presentará cuatro funciones del documental Man For A Day de Katarina Peters.

Este documental se origina del taller Man for a Day de Diane Torr. Mujeres abiertas, atrevidas e interesadas en la temática se convierten en el hombre que quisieran ser y, a través de este cambio de rol e identidad, se vive y se reflexiona sobre las identidades masculina y femenina y el poder que conlleva ser uno y otra. 

Las proyecciones se llevarán a cabo:

This documentary is the result of the workshop by Diana Torr. Open, bold and interested women turn into the man they would like to be and, through this change of rol and identity, they live and reflect on the masculine and femenine identities and the power that each one grants.
